The fourth edition is the most recent and would be a tad over a year old. The info in it, I believe, reflects activity that occured through the winter of 07-08.

As for rec's, Fan and Mortar are erupting fairly consistently now every 4 days or there abouts. You can ask at the visitor's center to make sure they're still in active phase when you get to the park and the last eruption. You'll have to sit for a while, but the reward is a sight the majority of YNP tourists will never lay eyes on (heck, I've been trying to see them and I have yet to have success...). A walk to Lone Star is always nice (take mosquito repellant or risk a visit from the Wyoming Air National Guard!!). Going back to Imperial and Spray as part of a Fairy Falls hike is fun too, but on the hottest days can be draining so take water and sunscreen. Beehive hss been fairly regular of late and adds another "big" geyser that isn't on the prediciton board. I'm sure others can add more.

As for the spreadsheet, you can find it on the GOSA webpage. I don't have it hot-linked here, but a google search will find it for you in short order.
